Arnold Family Photographer | Michael 2013
November 29, 2013 10:43 AM Blog
Not very long ago, though it seems like a long time already (!), I had the opportunity to do pictures with the Michael family. Little One, like most her age, was totally not into it. But we got some adorable shots anyway. Even a few with her running away or just plain doing her own thing. After all, why force the little ones to be something they're not? :) View on Facebook! ......
Vintage Themed Photographer | Jaime, 1920's
November 25, 2013 8:43 AM Blog
This was about a month ago and was totally fun. So, what's going on here? The furniture piece that Jaime is lounging on is a gossip bench or telephone seat. My grandfather had this one in his farm house and it has been passed on to me after he passed away this summer. It's not an antique but I can't find one just like it, one that it's supposed to be modeled after. We were guessing early 1900's style. The telephone came from a local pawn shop. I'd been eyeing it since the spring, even before I g ......
Ste. Genevieve Family Photographer | Kate, Deb, & the girls
November 14, 2013 8:38 AM Blog
Well this was just really cool. :)My long time friend Kate had her friend Deb in from Ireland and we got together on this chilly it-happens-now-or-never day for a Best Friend/Sister photo shoot with the two of them and the girls. We had a great time and some of the best was when they sat the girls down to tell them that they were not only going on a Disney cruise in just a few days but they were leaving right after the shoot to head to Florida for a day of Disney World as well.As I understand it ......
Arnold Wedding Photographer | Jeff & Laurel
November 12, 2013 7:50 AM Blog
Ok, so I was super stoked (is that word still used?) to be able to shoot Laurel & Jeff's wedding back in September. Not only do I love outdoor September/October weddings, but I finally got to shoot one at one of the greatest parks ever: Bee Tree in Arnold, MO. I know, I'm a geek. There was a lovely ceremony down at the fountain, complete with the bride being walked down by her son, very sweet. Then a receiving line full of smiling family and friends followed by bridal and family pictures, then fi ......
Ste. Genevieve Family Photographer | Aaron, Jenny, & Lily
October 16, 2013 4:02 PM Blog
Last month, I had the privilege of photographing this adorable family. Little Lily was only one month old here. She was quite the trooper and was probably the easiest newborn I've ever had. Of course, her mom Jenny came totally prepared with everything she needed. We had a great time with both the old building as well as out in the field. The lighting was just great and it was warm enough outside that the baby stayed comfortable, too. :) View the album on Facebook! ......
Arnold Family Photographer | McDaniel 2013
October 9, 2013 3:57 PM Blog
So, first of all, these little boys are some of the most adorable kiddos ever. Secondly, they were so just not into a photo session! But we made the best of it! The photos of the kids playing on their iPads while Mom and Dad smile on just kill me.View the album on Facebook! ......
Farmington Wedding Photographer | Marie & Codie
October 8, 2013 3:48 PM Blog
Codie and Marie have been here before. Marie was my amazing model for the Runaway Bride session and Codie joined us a couple of months ago, of course, for engagement photos and a gender reveal for their baby. In September, I had the opportunity to be present for their wedding! They had an adorable little ceremony with close friends at his grandmother's house and everyone had a great time. Festus Crystal City Wedding Photographer | Nick & Rachel's Reception
October 3, 2013 3:23 PM Blog
Here is the second installment from Nick and Rachel's wedding! They moved from the church to a hall for their reception and it was just gorgeous. Cute and original decorations including a wall of photos of them growing up and a banner with their initials over their candy bar. Oh, yes, you read that right: a candy bar. How cool! M&M's, Mike & Ikes, Twizzlers, and so much more. Add this to the dessert tables filled with special family recipes and everyone was in love. I did especially love how all ......
Festus Crystal City Wedding Photographer | Nick & Rachel
September 28, 2013 1:55 PM Blog
Strangely enough, besides back when I was shooting film (and 9 years ago at that), the wedding of Nick and Rachel was the first one I did in my very own church. It's not the biggest church I've done a wedding in, but it's certainly the bluest. ;-)We did not spend a lot of time on photos this time around, Rachel and Nick wanted to emphasize the ceremony itself and the photo booth we did at the reception (those to come soon). But in our short few minutes, we did get some great shots!I also loved h ......

Was just messing around with and learning my new camera bodies!! This is my little ham and cheeser. Just the way she is - food and dirt on her face, mosquito bite (those things really tear her up), and all. Real. Not Photoshopped beyond recognition.

So, the end of August, I got to do some portraits with my good friends Erin and Jim and their boys, again! I love getting to photograph families year after year! And these boys just crack me up! So cute! Here are some of my favorites. I really love the clothing they chose for their shoot, very nice! View the album on Facebook!
Ste. Genevieve Photographer | Ava & Morgan, sisters in sunflowers
September 17, 2013 9:29 AM Blog
Backstory: in 2008 I had the opportunity to do some photos of some girls in a huge field of sunflowers. I didn't really know what I was doing then, so I won't be showing you those. But it's been one of my mini-dreams to have this opportunity again. Only I don't have the space myself. So my husband and I turned to my in-laws so are always so gracious and supportive of my photography. In the area where my husband puts a food plot for deer in the winter, I spent 2 days hand planting sunflower seeds ......
Hillsboro Family Photographer | Shaylee, 5th Birthday
September 12, 2013 9:21 AM Blog
With the heat, I've had a couple of weeks off. But that doesn't mean that I haven't slacked in posting some of the other sessions I had finished already!! It is starting to cool down though, I think, and things are really going to pick up around here starting next weekend. I am not sure if I should call next week another week off or a crash course. I am due to receive two new camera bodies tomorrow and they will be quite the upgrade for me so I am going to hit it hardcore so that I will be com ......
Ste. Genevieve Engagement Photographer | Marie & Codie
August 28, 2013 8:56 AM Blog
The same day as the gender reveal, we also did some engagement photos. :) These are a few of my favorites. We also had some fun with confetti, as you'll see at the end. Looking forward to the wedding of this very special couple! :) View the album on Facebook!
Hillsboro Family Photographer | Kari & Shaylee, Mother & Daughter 2013
August 21, 2013 7:39 AM Blog
This was the third time I was able to do pictures with Shaylee but the first time I really got to do pictures with her mom. It was so humid, we were just condensation, but we had a good time. Shaylee is just the ultimate photo girl and I always get tons of unique poses/looks/photos out of her in a short amount of time. We also hit some good light as sunset came closer, it was just amazing, the absolutely golden rays that were coming down the creek bed. View the album on Facebook! ......

August 18, 2013 10:26 PM Blog
There are always so many photos I love, it's hard to get them down to a manageable number, even for just blogging and web posting! So as much as I would love to post all of the photos - heck, I'd love to even post all of the ones that I already posted at Facebook - it's just a huge number. So if you want to see the full Facebook gallery, please click here. (Though you'll need to scroll down past the engagement and bridal shower photos.) As mentioned in the First Look post, this was my little bro ......
Ste. Genevieve Senior Photographer | Mackenzie, Class of 2014
August 17, 2013 10:09 PM Blog
Okay, Mackenzie has got to be one of the most photogenic people I know. Here she is, our first of four senior sessions! She and her mom had the great idea to do one every season, so with this being our summer session, we will have some nice fall scenery in the next, and hopefully some snow in the one after that, followed by spring! Of course, this girl is so darn good at this, we will probably end up with about a thousand pictures by the time her senior year is all said and done! There are 133 f ......
St. Louis Wedding Photographer | First Look: Mitch & Emily
August 14, 2013 12:42 AM Blog
Here's an example of a first look at a recent wedding. This also so happens to be my little brother's wedding and boy, did I get a wonderful new sister. First Looks are great when the bridal couple wants to do photos before the wedding or, for whatever other reason, doesn't want to worry about seeing one another before the ceremony. Gives them a chance to see one another dressed for the big day in an intimate setting. In this case, I took him out on the balcony at the Larimore House Plantation ......
Festus Couples Photographer | Paul, Cheryl, and the Harley
August 7, 2013 11:20 PM Blog
Here is one of my recent projects. Meet Paul & Cheryl, a lovely couple that needed some photos done! Well, more accurately, Paul needed photos of him with BOTH his ladies. ;-) The Harley was a wonderful touch and we were able to highlight his other love quite a bit. I love the ideas that they came up with as well! So cute, but this first photo is my absolute favorite! Just so sweet! ?™?
St. Charles Wedding Photographer | Joe & Bobbi
August 6, 2013 10:53 PM Blog
Hey everyone! Here's a wedding I had the privilege of shooting last October. It was my first one that took place completely inside of a house and it was absolutely gorgeous. Very intimate, as well, family from both sides and some close friends. The fireplace and mantle with the dogwood painting was also a perfect backdrop for family formals. And the old barn doors in the bedroom - absolutely gorgeous and a great spot for cute photos of the bride. It was really a great day. :)Yes, I am aware ther ......
St. Louis Photographer | Arielle, Cat, Kirstin: Modeling
August 5, 2013 10:40 PM Blog
I have been putting off blogging... why? I have no idea. :) Just busy with everything else, I guess! Here are some photos that were done last December. I had originally done this shoot with someone else but the photos I am posting here (and have posted in my Facebook gallery) were taken by me. There are more, of course, but these are my favorites. We're going to do this in one pop. This shoot was really great, I love it when an idea I have pans out, heehee. These are truly three wonderful women ......

Ste. Genevieve Photographer | Breast Cancer/Chemo - Kimberly & Ellie Mae
July 15, 2013 9:50 PM Blog
Kimberly is one of the sweetest and most loving people I've ever met. She is undergoing chemo and getting closer to being finished, then it's radiation, for breast cancer. She was only diagnosed in March and even though she's going through all of this, she still smiles. It was sort of funny how this all worked out - we had the same idea on the same day and started talking. There was lots of, that's what I was thinking! going on. We were going to celebrate where she's been and where she's going ......
St. Louis Wedding Photographer | Ever After/Mess the Dress: Marie, Runaway Bride
July 12, 2013 9:37 PM Blog
Well, it seems I got distracted from blogging! Here are photos from Marie's portion of the photo shoot that took place in the rail yard. You know, the whole Runaway Bride thing. We all had so much fun on this shoot. We started the day getting hair and make up and were up north by early afternoon. Thankfully, we had some cooler weather than would be typical the last of June. However, I'd had to cancel part of my plans due to 40% chance of rain and thunderstorms. Turned out to be a good decision. W ......
