Valerie was a fantastic choice for us! She was organized, reasonable, easy to get in touch with, and had a very relatable personality - all qualities that made her great to work with. Her work is classic and lovely, and the products she offers are of excellent quality. She tracked through the wilderness for us to get the perfect engagement shots - still some of our favorite pictures to date! She was flexible, professional, and thorough on our wedding day; and her assistant was one of the sweetest people - she even cut our cake for us at the last minute! I would highly recommend Valerie Holifield Photography if you are looking for the all-around perfect wedding experience.

After coming off of the surprise and initial excitement that comes with engagement, my then-fiancé and I sat down with a notebook and a laptop, ready to dive right into the planning of our wedding. We
wanted something simple and sweet in all regards, and a skilled photographer to capture the day’s excitement.
Enter Valerie Holifield Photography.
At the suggestion of one of my friends, I visited Valerie’s website and found myself in awe of her photography skills. She has a real eye for composition and her work shows for it. We exchanged emails over the course of a couple of weeks and arranged engagement photos and ironed out the details of the big day.
On the day of the engagement photos, we thought we would do well to get there early, and she actually surprised us when she called to say that she had got there before us. Throughout the session, Valerie and her assistant were professional, yet friendly and relaxed. Even as we rolled around in grass during high pollen season, Valerie never once complained and captured a collection of beautiful moments to commemorate this stage in my husband and I’s relationship.
Flash forward to the wedding day, Valerie once again arrived early and ready to work. I can’t speak for how she acted during the ceremony (I had my eyes elsewhere ;) ), but not one of my guests brought any sort of complaint to my attention. After the ceremony, she totally respected our want to chat with our guests for a bit before taking more photos, and instead opted to document the moments for us.
During our formal photos, I threw a few unintentional curveballs by making last-minute photo requests. Valerie met my energy not with a “no”, but instead a “yes, and let’s do this” kind of energy.
A couple of weeks later, when we received the final copies of the photographs, I was moved to tears at the sight. Valerie had captured everything we could have wanted and even more, everything from the first kiss to the detail on the cupcakes we purchased.
Working with Valerie was nothing but a pleasure, and if I were to suggest any wedding photographer to anyone, it would be her. I could sing further praise, but really, her work speaks for itself.
I consider my wedding to be one of the happiest days of my life, and I am grateful that Valerie Holifield Photography was a part of that day as well.

Valerie did my birthday photos as well as a milk bath photoshoot and I couldn't have been more excited about how they turned out. She is beyond talented and is willing to work with you. And she is super creative- who would have thought to do a cereal milk bath shoot and it turn out AMAZING.
I am so blessed to have met Valerie and I can't wait to have her shoot more for me.

I cannot possibly say enough things about Valerie other than she is absolutely amazing!! We've only worked with her 2 times but she will be our go to photographer for sure. She made us feel so comfortable that we could just be ourselves. Even our families and wedding party commented on how easy she was to work with. I was so worried about how I would look in the pictures because I don't normally like being in any but she made me look beautiful in them all. She was totally wonderful from the engagement session (which we scheduled last minute and had to change the date like 3 times because of the weather) all the way through the wedding. I could not be any happier with the photos and work that she did. Valerie was very accommodating and understanding with all questions and last minute changes. From the first time we sat down to discuss possibly having her photograph our wedding, I knew she was the one. Her work was beautiful and she was really interested in getting to know us and what we liked/preferred. She went above and beyond and I would recommend her over and over again!!
