Ashlynne and John were married on a lovely day in May. It started out with a bit of rain but cleared right up. We were even treated to a later-blooming dogwood variety tree on this day in late May, when most are finished blooming already.
We met out at the outlook at Bee Tree Park and had the ceremony complete with a live musician. After the ceremony, we did the family and friend formals in the same spot. It really was perfect, and Ashlynne's choice of colors really went well in the setting. After the bridal photos and photos of the two of them, we headed to the reception which was also on the grounds.
Everyone had a lovely time and Ashlynne wrote me the loveliest review, stating things in a way that I never would be able to. You can read that here on my new reviews page: https://vholifield.com/reviews/
One thing you may notice is that Ashlynne had 6 bridesmaids (including maid of honor) to John's one best man. That is one thing I loved about the two of them, they are not afraid to try something different, to do something new!
I'm also, of course, including some engagement photos. We were able to take these the month or so before the wedding on the St. Louis Arch grounds. I have to admit, this was my first time to really be ON the new and improved Arch grounds and I was very pleased with how they've done everything. We had a great time using the Arch itself as a backdrop and heading to overlook the river, and near the lake, etc. I even was able to use my film camera to get a few shots. That was my first roll of film in that vintage camera and I was pleased with how it came out, so I would like to do this more.
