St. Louis Wedding Photographer | Jason & Jessica
April 9, 2014 09:15 AM Blog
This wedding ended up being my last of 2013, bringing with it a new record for weddings shot in a year for me as well. It was also a bit different for me as I was contracted as a last minute second shooter with someone else after the original wedding photographer canceled on this couple. It was also one of my secret photographer dreams come true: shoot a wedding at the Jewel Box in St. Louis! I have always loved the Jewel Box, maybe in part because it seemed like it was also really special to my ......
Festus Photographer | The 11th Doctor and River
February 5, 2014 08:40 AM Blog
Here's another flashback, since I officially stink at updating this blog! These are my own children so I really just have to brag on them. My oldest is OBSESSED with Doctor Who, like, seriously, no way around it. Not just that but Star Wars, Legos, Transformers, and more of the like. But Doctor Who really takes the cake for him and I blame The Doctor for this kid wanting to always be dressed up in a suit coat etc. He acts like he's allergic to t-shirts though we've managed to take that down a no ......
Ste. Genevieve Photographer | Marie & Codie Maternity
January 21, 2014 03:07 PM Blog
Last fall, Codie and Marie trekked it with me to the wilderness of Ste. Genevieve County, MO to get some maternity photos before their little blessing arrived. It was quite chilly out, as late fall can tend to be at 830am, but they were a couple of troopers. Marie even got down in the tall grass for me - she's always happy to humor me. ;-)So here are my favorite shots. I gotta say, I really like that red shirt with the orangy browns of the scenery.View on Facebook! ......
Ste. Genevieve Senior Photographer | Mackenzie, Class of 2014
January 13, 2014 10:28 PM Blog
Here's Mackenzie again, for her second senior session! We were waiting for snow, and boy, we got it! This is actually from our snow the first time around this season. We've had two large snows here in the SEMO area so far. Unfortunately, I was too sick during the second to do any photo sessions. But Mackenzie's session is so good, another may not live up. heehee ;)She did seriously have so many good shots, it was hard to choose!Oh, and in similar news, Mackenzie was the first to be photographed ......
Ste. Genevieve Photographer | Fall & Winter 2013
January 12, 2014 10:35 PM Blog
Before I get back to more sessions I had in the fall, here are a couple of random fall and winter photos of my own children. I have to admit, they're pretty cute when they want to be!I couldn't believe that yellow in my magnolia tree last fall. Went outside one day and it was just there, so so so so yellow. I love it. I love that tree. I grew it from a stick and it flowers for me at least 3 times a year. I'll miss it when we move, haha, guess I'll have to grow another!!My little girl is such a h ......
Photos with Santa | Bloomsdale Event Photography
January 11, 2014 09:57 PM Blog
ok, yesssssss, I know Christmas is over! However, let me have this because I feel like we missed Christmas with how much my family has been sick. In fact, I'm still not up to par, with stupid mono, and everything! So I'm going to have me a little Christmas celebration here with a few favorite photos from our event with Santa as well as a few others from throughout the season. Enjoy! ;-) View on Facebook! ......
Hillsboro Photographer | Shaylee 2013
January 10, 2014 09:48 PM Blog
Shaylee has been featured in my photo shoots quite a bit over the last several years but I think this is her best yet. Such a precocious child and always able to make you laugh, she really strikes those poses. Even when she's not goofing off with silly poses, she knows exactly what to do. How cute! View on Facebook!
Ste. Genevieve Photographer | Becky, 1871
January 8, 2014 06:18 PM Blog
If you know anything about Ste. Genevieve, you know it's the oldest permanent settlement West of the mighty Mississippi River. Because of that, we are inherently interested in history. There are also plenty of themed fairs and events that happen year round. We also have some wonderful people who enjoy making their own themed clothing, like Becky here. I have known Becky a pretty long time now and was honored to get to take some shots of her in her bustle dress. We kept the poses all pretty gene ......
Hillsboro Wedding Photographer | Julian & Corrinne
January 5, 2014 01:28 PM Blog
No, this certainly hasn't been any time very recently, ha! (Snow, anyone???) I had the privilege of shooting Julian & Corrinne's wedding in October of last year (wow, did I just have to say last year??) and it was certainly very beautiful and they were both a pleasure to work with.I really enjoyed the Pinterest feel of this wedding. Everything from a couch made out of square straw bales to cross sections of logs used as the cake base to Mason jar drinking cups gifted to the guests. It was al ......
Ste. Genevieve Family Photographer | Havener 2013
December 15, 2013 11:21 AM Blog
Back in October I had the chance to do some family pictures of the Havener family. Such fun, these four little kiddos - one handsome boy outnumbered by three gorgeous girls! We had a lot of fun playing around some cornstalks. Here are some of my favorites. View on Facebook!

Festus Family Photographer | Farrow 2013
November 30, 2013 10:55 AM Blog
It was extra special to get to do pictures with this adorable family, they came all the way in from Tennessee to see me! Just kidding! They did come from Tennessee but I was just a side stop while they visited family. ;-) But I'll take it! My first twins! And an adorable preschooler, and a lovely couple - what more could a photographer ask for? Not to mention, Mom and I went to school together about a million years ago. So nice to be able to keep up with everyone and watch their families grow, t ......
Arnold Family Photographer | Michael 2013
November 29, 2013 10:43 AM Blog
Not very long ago, though it seems like a long time already (!), I had the opportunity to do pictures with the Michael family. Little One, like most her age, was totally not into it. But we got some adorable shots anyway. Even a few with her running away or just plain doing her own thing. After all, why force the little ones to be something they're not? :) View on Facebook! ......
Vintage Themed Photographer | Jaime, 1920's
November 25, 2013 08:43 AM Blog
This was about a month ago and was totally fun. So, what's going on here? The furniture piece that Jaime is lounging on is a gossip bench or telephone seat. My grandfather had this one in his farm house and it has been passed on to me after he passed away this summer. It's not an antique but I can't find one just like it, one that it's supposed to be modeled after. We were guessing early 1900's style. The telephone came from a local pawn shop. I'd been eyeing it since the spring, even before I g ......
Ste. Genevieve Family Photographer | Kate, Deb, & the girls
November 14, 2013 08:38 AM Blog
Well this was just really cool. :)My long time friend Kate had her friend Deb in from Ireland and we got together on this chilly it-happens-now-or-never day for a Best Friend/Sister photo shoot with the two of them and the girls. We had a great time and some of the best was when they sat the girls down to tell them that they were not only going on a Disney cruise in just a few days but they were leaving right after the shoot to head to Florida for a day of Disney World as well.As I understand it ......
Arnold Wedding Photographer | Jeff & Laurel
November 12, 2013 07:50 AM Blog
Ok, so I was super stoked (is that word still used?) to be able to shoot Laurel & Jeff's wedding back in September. Not only do I love outdoor September/October weddings, but I finally got to shoot one at one of the greatest parks ever: Bee Tree in Arnold, MO. I know, I'm a geek. There was a lovely ceremony down at the fountain, complete with the bride being walked down by her son, very sweet. Then a receiving line full of smiling family and friends followed by bridal and family pictures, then fi ......
Ste. Genevieve Family Photographer | Aaron, Jenny, & Lily
October 16, 2013 04:02 PM Blog
Last month, I had the privilege of photographing this adorable family. Little Lily was only one month old here. She was quite the trooper and was probably the easiest newborn I've ever had. Of course, her mom Jenny came totally prepared with everything she needed. We had a great time with both the old building as well as out in the field. The lighting was just great and it was warm enough outside that the baby stayed comfortable, too. :) View the album on Facebook! ......
Arnold Family Photographer | McDaniel 2013
October 9, 2013 03:57 PM Blog
So, first of all, these little boys are some of the most adorable kiddos ever. Secondly, they were so just not into a photo session! But we made the best of it! The photos of the kids playing on their iPads while Mom and Dad smile on just kill me.View the album on Facebook! ......
Farmington Wedding Photographer | Marie & Codie
October 8, 2013 03:48 PM Blog
Codie and Marie have been here before. Marie was my amazing model for the Runaway Bride session and Codie joined us a couple of months ago, of course, for engagement photos and a gender reveal for their baby. In September, I had the opportunity to be present for their wedding! They had an adorable little ceremony with close friends at his grandmother's house and everyone had a great time. View the album on Facebook! ......
Festus Crystal City Wedding Photographer | Nick & Rachel's Reception
October 3, 2013 03:23 PM Blog
Here is the second installment from Nick and Rachel's wedding! They moved from the church to a hall for their reception and it was just gorgeous. Cute and original decorations including a wall of photos of them growing up and a banner with their initials over their candy bar. Oh, yes, you read that right: a candy bar. How cool! M&M's, Mike & Ikes, Twizzlers, and so much more. Add this to the dessert tables filled with special family recipes and everyone was in love. I did especially love how all ......
Festus Crystal City Wedding Photographer | Nick & Rachel
September 28, 2013 01:55 PM Blog
Strangely enough, besides back when I was shooting film (and 9 years ago at that), the wedding of Nick and Rachel was the first one I did in my very own church. It's not the biggest church I've done a wedding in, but it's certainly the bluest. ;-)We did not spend a lot of time on photos this time around, Rachel and Nick wanted to emphasize the ceremony itself and the photo booth we did at the reception (those to come soon). But in our short few minutes, we did get some great shots!I also loved h ......
Ste. Genevieve Photographer | Kayleigh
September 19, 2013 01:49 PM Blog
Was just messing around with and learning my new camera bodies!! This is my little ham and cheeser. Just the way she is - food and dirt on her face, mosquito bite (those things really tear her up), and all. Real. Not Photoshopped beyond recognition.
Arnold Family Photographer | Robbins 2013
September 18, 2013 01:43 PM Blog
So, the end of August, I got to do some portraits with my good friends Erin and Jim and their boys, again! I love getting to photograph families year after year! And these boys just crack me up! So cute! Here are some of my favorites. I really love the clothing they chose for their shoot, very nice! View the album on Facebook!
Ste. Genevieve Photographer | Ava & Morgan, sisters in sunflowers
September 17, 2013 09:29 AM Blog
Backstory: in 2008 I had the opportunity to do some photos of some girls in a huge field of sunflowers. I didn't really know what I was doing then, so I won't be showing you those. But it's been one of my mini-dreams to have this opportunity again. Only I don't have the space myself. So my husband and I turned to my in-laws so are always so gracious and supportive of my photography. In the area where my husband puts a food plot for deer in the winter, I spent 2 days hand planting sunflower seeds ......
