Jeff and Gabby tied the knot on June 17, 2017. It was horribly hot but the day itself was so beautiful. Actually, everything was beautiful - the venue, the flowers, the ceremony, and of course, the couple.
I started the day arriving at Gabby's parents house to find all of the girls ready to go. I was able to get a lovely shot of the ring with her shoes, but everything else was already down at the venue, so after a few shots outside, we headed on down. Inside the venue, we were able to get some more pictures, especially some sweet ones of Gabby with her dad. The guys were all out back, so we were able to get a few of our lovely bride on the main staircase as well.
Despite being local, this was my first opportunity to photograph a wedding at Treasured Memories in Ste. Genevieve, MO and I was truly impressed. The venue is just beautiful and not nearly as small as people had led me to believe! You can get many guests out there in the yard. And the flowers! So well done and just gorgeous. I even saw some bouquets that were ready for future weddings and they were just really all very lovely.
When it was time, the ceremony started and Jeff saw his bride for the first time as she came down the aisle with her dad and the two of them tied the knot in front of a cross with flowers on it that was made by Grabrielle and her dad just for the wedding. After a very lovely ceremony that includes some of my favorite "walk out" photos ever, there was a bit of a receiving line followed by the signing of the marriage license, and alllllll the photos, including one you'll see before where they had us all laughing at the faces they made at the certificate. Did I mention it was hot out? Very hot! At this point, the guests and family members had headed off and we ended up with about an hour or so of downtime and took to Sirro's in town to cool off a bit and such.
The reception was held at the K.C. Hall in Ste. Genevieve - it's such a neat place, that old building. We had some time for photos out front, then it was on in. Dinner, dancing, and fun! They were still going strong when it was time for us to leave.
I have truly every moment I have spent with Gabrielle and Jeff! We just hit it off and have had some great conversations. I'm so glad they decided to call when they were in need of a wedding photographer.
