December 2, 2017 I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the wedding of Daniel & Molly. These are two sweet "kids" that I've watched grow up and it was so wonderful being part of their special day. Another bit of trivia: I have photographed weddings for two of Daniel's sisters and since Molly's wedding, I was able to also photograph her sister's wedding.
We could not have asked for a more beautiful December day. Here in Missouri, by the time December rolls around, you think everything is just going to be gross and dead but we were able to get some beautiful shots outside that included some "green stuff." The girls met first and we had a great time. Unfortunately, one of the groomsmen was sick so the guys were late but we busted out those photos so fast and you can't even tell they only literally took 7 minutes. We also got the church shots really quickly so he could go on home later.
The ceremony also included something a little different that I have not encountered anywhere else (to date). As a picture of Christ coming for His bride, Daniel came down the aisle lastly. Molly was still able to be walked down by her dad (and check out the photo when they pass Grandpa, it's one of my favorites), then they waited for Daniel's arrival. This ceremony also included a congregational hymn which was pretty neat.
After the ceremony, there was a dessert reception which ended with some very sweet toasts by the best man and matron of honor, who, interestingly, are also married to one another.
One more thing, you'll notice the photo with the large black border and the caption. That was all grandpa there. He set that shot up and quietly asked me for that caption. Of course, I was happy to oblige.
What a wonderful day! :)
