I want to take a bit of a break from moving over my older blog entries to post Delani's session. I just finally finished posting the rest on Facebook. This was such fun! As you already know, my field of sunflowers this year grew with gusto (as opposed to last year!) and I did several family sessions around and in the flowers. One year ago to the day, on July 4, 2013, I had the privilege of photographing Kimberly and her doggie Ellie Mae while Kimberly was currently going through chemo for breast cancer. One year later, we met again to celebrate the journey that she had completed. Here are some of our favorite shots. Here is sweet little Bella! Her mom was totally prepared for this session and everything came out so adorable. I loved it all! The outfits and the props, all of it. She even had grandma's pearl necklace for little Bella to wear and the canopy was just, well, totally awesome. If you know anything about Ste. Genevieve, you know it's the oldest permanent settlement West of the mighty Mississippi River. Because of that, we are inherently interested in history. There are also plenty of themed fairs and events that happen year round. We also have some wonderful people who enjoy making their own themed clothing, like Becky here. I have known Becky a pretty long time now and was honored to get to take some shots of her in her bustle dress. We kept the poses all pretty gene ......
