I think there is something really special about having a wedding on the place where you intend to grow old, which is exactly what Levi and Chelsea did. I had the pleasure of visiting their farm when we did engagement pictures the fall before and it was lovely then, but after the transformation for the wedding, wow! The barn was made into so much more, it was absolutely gorgeous, the use of pallet wood was especially wonderful, as well as the doors in the back (which you'll see below).
Though the ceremony was on their own farm, we started the day at White Cliff Manor in St. Mary, MO. This is a gorgeous venue! And since we were getting toward the end of September, all of the gardens and trees were still green and/or in bloom. It was a perfect setting and allowed me to get some great shots of the bride's dress, for one. And I love the shot of all of the girls in their flannel before getting dresses on! Once everyone was ready, Chelsea did a first look with her dad in the gated garden. Such a beautiful moment, Dad laughed and cried at the same time.
From there, it was off to the ceremony, of which I have included a few shots. Check out that set up! All of the light coming in through the pallets was the perfect last touch, and I fell in love with the hanging light fixtures as well.
We took the bridal party photos on the farm before heading over to another family farm for some more photos of just Levi and Chelsea. The barn here was my absolute favorite and we had a great time. From there, it was one more stop in Ste. Genevieve so that Chelsea could visit her grandfather who had recently gone to live in the care center. We were able to get another set of family photos here with Grandpa and I am so glad we did.
The reception took place at the Bloomsdale KC and it was decorated beautifully. I especially loved the cup cake table which was, of course, decked out with lots of engagement photos! ;-) Cake cutting gave everyone a laugh when the first slice landed on the floor but it was soon followed up with a very special family moment when Levi's grandmother gifted them with a large handmade quilt full of family photos.
I am so glad I had the opportunity to work with Chelsea and Levi, a very lovable and sincere couple and I wish them all the best with their new little Schweigert on the way!!
