Matt and Tracy were married on a beautiful - though quite warm - day in September of last year. This was the ultimate wedding, seriously. So beautiful and unique, I absolutely fell in love with the bouquets, for example... buttons and bling!
We first met for a few getting ready pics of the girls and some decorations and people waiting around the lobby of the ceremony venue. Once everyone was ready, we did a First Look with the bride and groom, after doing one with her and her father. Several tears were shed and beautiful moments were captured. After all of this, we moved on to family formals. It's not often I get to do family formals before the ceremony but it worked out well and we had a bit of free time for everyone to rest a bit before the ceremony.
The ceremony proceeded almost without a hitch... there was some laughter when our adorable bride put the ring on the wrong finger of the groom, so cute. When the ceremony was finished, Matt and Tracy greeted each of their guests at their seats before sending them on to the reception.
We had a full hour drive to the family farm for the reception and it was just as beautiful. I discovered that her grandfather had built bathrooms in the barn just for the occasion and even in there, the new cedar smelled amazing. The barn was packed full of people and everyone had a great time. The decor was just beautiful, I could have photographed it all night! We headed down to a bridge and bluff down the road for the bridal session, having a ton of fun with it. Then it was back to the barn for food, friends, and dancing.
When all was said and done and January rolled around, Matt and Tracy held the spot of the large photo I showed in a 16x20 frame in the center of the recycled wood wall my husband built me for my first big bridal show. Gorgeous! (First photo below, posed specifically there to show the barn in the background.)
