Ste. Genevieve Engagement Photographer | Ed & Brenna
June 22, 2014 9:36 AM Blog
Ok, I have to admit, this is one of my favorite couple's sessions ever. I had a great time with Brenna and Ed and the family that tagged along. I loved how they interacted, both so at ease and natural. View on Facebook!
St. Louis Wedding Photographer | Jason & Jessica
April 9, 2014 9:15 AM Blog
This wedding ended up being my last of 2013, bringing with it a new record for weddings shot in a year for me as well. It was also a bit different for me as I was contracted as a last minute second shooter with someone else after the original wedding photographer canceled on this couple. It was also one of my secret photographer dreams come true: shoot a wedding at the Jewel Box in St. Louis! I have always loved the Jewel Box, maybe in part because it seemed like it was also really special to my ......
Festus Photographer | The 11th Doctor and River
February 5, 2014 8:40 AM Blog
Here's another flashback, since I officially stink at updating this blog! These are my own children so I really just have to brag on them. My oldest is OBSESSED with Doctor Who, like, seriously, no way around it. Not just that but Star Wars, Legos, Transformers, and more of the like. But Doctor Who really takes the cake for him and I blame The Doctor for this kid wanting to always be dressed up in a suit coat etc. He acts like he's allergic to t-shirts though we've managed to take that down a no ......
Ste. Genevieve Photographer | Becky, 1871
January 8, 2014 6:18 PM Blog
If you know anything about Ste. Genevieve, you know it's the oldest permanent settlement West of the mighty Mississippi River. Because of that, we are inherently interested in history. There are also plenty of themed fairs and events that happen year round. We also have some wonderful people who enjoy making their own themed clothing, like Becky here. I have known Becky a pretty long time now and was honored to get to take some shots of her in her bustle dress. We kept the poses all pretty gene ......
Hillsboro Wedding Photographer | Julian & Corrinne
January 5, 2014 1:28 PM Blog
No, this certainly hasn't been any time very recently, ha! (Snow, anyone???) I had the privilege of shooting Julian & Corrinne's wedding in October of last year (wow, did I just have to say last year??) and it was certainly very beautiful and they were both a pleasure to work with.I really enjoyed the Pinterest feel of this wedding. Everything from a couch made out of square straw bales to cross sections of logs used as the cake base to Mason jar drinking cups gifted to the guests. It was al ......
Vintage Themed Photographer | Jaime, 1920's
November 25, 2013 8:43 AM Blog
This was totally fun... in a word So, what's going on here? The furniture piece that Jaime is lounging on is a gossip bench or telephone seat. My grandfather had this one in his farm house and it has been passed on to me after he passed away this summer. It's not an antique but I can't find one just like it, one that it's supposed to be modeled after. We were guessing early 1900's style. The telephone came from a local pawn shop. I'd been eyeing it since the spring, even before I got the bench, ......
Arnold Wedding Photographer | Jeff & Laurel
November 12, 2013 7:50 AM Blog
Ok, so I was super stoked (is that word still used?) to be able to shoot Laurel & Jeff's wedding back in September. Not only do I love outdoor September/October weddings, but I finally got to shoot one at one of the greatest parks ever: Bee Tree in Arnold, MO. I know, I'm a geek. There was a lovely ceremony down at the fountain, complete with the bride being walked down by her son, very sweet. Then a receiving line full of smiling family and friends followed by bridal and family pictures, then fi ......
Festus Crystal City Wedding Photographer | Nick & Rachel's Reception
October 3, 2013 3:23 PM Blog
Here is the second installment from Nick and Rachel's wedding! They moved from the church to a hall for their reception and it was just gorgeous. Cute and original decorations including a wall of photos of them growing up and a banner with their initials over their candy bar. Oh, yes, you read that right: a candy bar. How cool! M&M's, Mike & Ikes, Twizzlers, and so much more. Add this to the dessert tables filled with special family recipes and everyone was in love. I did especially love how all ......
Festus Crystal City Wedding Photographer | Nick & Rachel
September 28, 2013 1:55 PM Blog
Strangely enough, besides back when I was shooting film (and 9 years ago at that), the wedding of Nick and Rachel was the first one I did in my very own church. It's not the biggest church I've done a wedding in, but it's certainly the bluest. ;-)We did not spend a lot of time on photos this time around, Rachel and Nick wanted to emphasize the ceremony itself and the photo booth we did at the reception (those to come soon). But in our short few minutes, we did get some great shots!I also loved h ......
St. Louis Wedding Photographer | Mitch & Emily
August 18, 2013 10:26 PM Blog
There are always so many photos I love, it's hard to get them down to a manageable number, even for just blogging and web posting! So as much as I would love to post all of the photos - heck, I'd love to even post all of the ones that I already posted at Facebook - it's just a huge number. So if you want to see the full Facebook gallery, please click here. (Though you'll need to scroll down past the engagement and bridal shower photos.) As mentioned in the First Look post, this was my little bro ......
St. Louis Wedding Photographer | First Look: Mitch & Emily
August 14, 2013 12:42 AM Blog
Here's an example of a first look at a recent wedding. This also so happens to be my little brother's wedding and boy, did I get a wonderful new sister. First Looks are great when the bridal couple wants to do photos before the wedding or, for whatever other reason, doesn't want to worry about seeing one another before the ceremony. Gives them a chance to see one another dressed for the big day in an intimate setting. In this case, I took him out on the balcony at the Larimore House Plantation ......
St. Charles Wedding Photographer | Joe & Bobbi
August 6, 2013 10:53 PM Blog
Hey everyone! Here's a wedding I had the privilege of shooting last October. It was my first one that took place completely inside of a house and it was absolutely gorgeous. Very intimate, as well, family from both sides and some close friends. The fireplace and mantle with the dogwood painting was also a perfect backdrop for family formals. And the old barn doors in the bedroom - absolutely gorgeous and a great spot for cute photos of the bride. It was really a great day. :)Yes, I am aware ther ......
St. Louis Photographer | Arielle, Cat, Kirstin: Modeling
August 5, 2013 10:40 PM Blog
I have been putting off blogging... why? I have no idea. :) Just busy with everything else, I guess! Here are some photos that were done last December. I had originally done this shoot with someone else but the photos I am posting here (and have posted in my Facebook gallery) were taken by me only. There are more, of course, but these are my favorites. We're going to do this in one pop. This shoot was really great, I love it when an idea I have pans out, heehee. These are truly three wonderful w ......

Ste. Genevieve Photographer | Breast Cancer/Chemo - Kimberly & Ellie Mae
July 15, 2013 9:50 PM Blog
Kimberly is one of the sweetest and most loving people I've ever met. She is undergoing chemo and getting closer to being finished, then it's radiation, for breast cancer. She was only diagnosed in March and even though she's going through all of this, she still smiles. It was sort of funny how this all worked out - we had the same idea on the same day and started talking. There was lots of, that's what I was thinking! going on. We were going to celebrate where she's been and where she's going ......
St. Louis Wedding Photographer | Ever After/Mess the Dress: Marie, Runaway Bride
July 12, 2013 9:37 PM Blog
Well, it seems I got distracted from blogging! Here are photos from Marie's portion of the photo shoot that took place in the rail yard. You know, the whole Runaway Bride thing. We all had so much fun on this shoot. We started the day getting hair and make up and were up north by early afternoon. Thankfully, we had some cooler weather than would be typical the last of June. However, I'd had to cancel part of my plans due to 40% chance of rain and thunderstorms. Turned out to be a good decision. W ......
St. Louis Labor and Delivery Photographer | Aven, A Story of New Life, Part II - Birth
June 24, 2013 9:32 PM Blog
Today we continue Aven's birth story with his birth!Since babies don't come except on their own time, I was on call a long time for this one. When the night finally came, I drove up to Erin and Jim's on a Sunday, arriving about 830pm. Erin wanted to labor at home so we all tried to sleep for a little while, but I was unable to. We ended up at the hospital around 1230am and things really got rolling from there. Erin has a really nice write-up on her experience here: http://littlefroggyfeet.blog ......
St. Charles Engagement Photographer | Mitch & Emily
June 13, 2013 9:12 PM Blog
Ok, now this was a lot of fun! My little brother is getting married in July, last March we got together for some engagement photos. Emily wanted some balloons so we went with it and even got a 30 which is just huuuuuge. It was such a windy and dreary day so we didn't really get to do too much with the bundle of regular sized balloons but we did a bit. Later that day we had a bit more fun with the balloons with my then 3-year-old and my sister-in-law, Sarah, those will come later. In fact, thoug ......
Bragging on my man
June 10, 2013 8:23 PM Blog
I'm just gonna brag on my man a bit more. Earlier today he surprised me with an anniversary present, something I never expected nor even ever thought about. But he had the idea and he went for it, enlisting the talented Wood Den. So here he is, posing with it and squinting in the sun, against his will. Horrible cell phone pic but I expect to get a proper pic when we've got it hanging up. Not tonight, but soon! And, not only is it pretty, but it smells so good! I love the smell of cedar (even if ......
Ste. Genevieve Wedding Photographer | Bart & Amber
June 2, 2013 6:48 PM Blog
Bart and Amber tied the knot on an absolutely gorgeous day in April of this year. It was a country wedding - out on the family farm, outside, even hay bales for guests to sit on during the ceremony all complete with a hay ride up the hill to the ceremony site and back down to the reception site. Very beautiful. I adored all of the decorations, the dresses, the bride's hair, and the cupcakes were to die for. A perfect day and I was honored to be able to capture it for the happy couple. I even had ......
