Ashley: you know, just a bride in a creek
May 5, 2017 11:10 PM Blog
Meet Ashley :)Last August, on a strangely cold-for-August day, Ashley braved the rain and cold and hopped in the creek wearing none other than a wedding dress and flower crown. I love it! This is the second time I've gotten in the water this much to get some epic photos. This is, however, the first time I did not ruin a camera and lens doing it. Score one for me!This was seriously so much fun and it gave me an opportunity to get some great promo photos. W ......
Alice & Co
January 14, 2017 07:21 PM Blog
Yeah, I know, finally a year later and I post this. Sorry about that. :)However, this was one of the most epic sessions, eva. This one took a lot of preparation, of course! The girls all worked hard to get their outfits together and they ended up doing their own hair and make-up and the results were wonderful. This was also the first one I really did with a set - we had a little tea party table set up with beautiful cups with saucers and even a hookah, supplied by ......
Ste. Genevieve Senior Photographer | Liz, Class of 2017
January 9, 2017 10:33 PM Blog
I joked at the end of the 2015-2016 school year that all I'd had to photograph, senior-wise, was boys! Unfortunately, I think I've failed at not only blogging any of them but haven't posted them to Facebook either! Not sure what's wrong with me, even though I joked, we all had great sessions! However, with that in mind, so far, the 2016-2017 school year has been all girls for my seniors! At least as of this writing. So if you would, please meet Liz. What a lovely lady, it was tru ......
2016
January 1, 2017 04:39 PM Blog
Last night we said goodbye to 2016. This is a year many are glad to see go. As far as photography is concerned, I had a great year. I created this little mosaic collage of every nearly finished client image from 2016. There are over 4200 photos! It's too small to see here, of course, but on the original I can zoom in and at least make out what is going on in most of them. I managed, this past year, to get all of my client work finished, but rarely did a ......
Ste. Genevieve Maternity Photographer | Kaitlyn
November 11, 2016 11:33 PM Blog
Kaitlyn and I had a great time shooting her maternity session back at the end of August. We even had a chance to do a crossover session and get her in the outdoor clawfoot tub for a milk bath session! These sessions are typically boudoir and have their home at my other site: Blush Boudoir. However, Kaitlyn shows us one can have an equally beautiful session here while fully clothed. I was so excited to be able to photograph a maternity session in the milk bath. ......
The Girl Without Hands
August 21, 2016 10:27 PM Blog
Sounds strange? It's a Grimm tale! I was so excited to be able to do this session and I had two great models, Kat and Brian, along for the ride! I dare say we did pretty darn well, especially considering to really be able to do this story, we needed about 6 more cast members! But these two are the stars of the story, so here they are!The Girl Without Hands is an interesting story. In a nutshell, it's about a girl who, well, gets her hands chopped off! She then ......

August 18, 2016 09:58 AM Blog
There might be some familiar faces in this post! But there's one relatively new one, too! Meet my dear friends complete with all three of their children. The last time we saw this clan, the littlest addition was just new born. So here we are again about a year later. This past spring I finally got these guys down to my own private spot for some in the woods family photos. Last summer when I posted pictures of my own kids using this chair, Erin said she wanted to ......

Here are some totally adorable engagement photos from last November. A fun fact: this beautiful woman is my little cousin! We had a great time running around under those willow trees and in the field and it was all just perfect. Great lighting and color, ahhh I love this place! St. Louis Wedding & Engagement Photographer | Angelina & Patrick
June 13, 2016 11:17 PM Blog
I absolutely loved working with these two! Engagement photos were taken on Main Street St Charles and points nearby and we sure got some good stuff. Angelina & Patrick were so adorable together and their love for one another is obvious. They gave me some of my favorite engagement photos to date. The wedding, if you can believe it, was even more beautiful. I also had the privilege of capturing moments of Kenyan tradition that I had not gotten to before. Two o ......
Festus Wedding & Engagement Photographer | Brittany & Andrew
May 5, 2016 09:10 PM Blog

I was completely honored to be able to photograph their engagement session and wedding for them and we are more than pleased with the results. For their engagement session, last fall, Brittany & Andrew headed out to my place and we played around in the woods for a while. The meeting of the minds, the three of us also came up with what has become one of my favorite engagement photos ever. ......
Festus & St. Louis Photographer | Mason, Class of 2016
May 3, 2016 04:59 PM Blog
Mason is one of my 2016 seniors and hails from Hillsboro High. I've actually known and loved his family for a long time so it was extra great getting to do these photos for them! We had two sessions, one nearer to home to take advantage of some beautiful spring foliage and the second for some urban fun in St. Louis. Both sessions produced some equally wonderful images. These are some of the images his family ordered as well as one of my favorites. :)
St. Louis Photographer | Labor & Delivery, Robbins Birth Story Photos
April 30, 2016 09:32 AM Blog
One year ago yesterday, I had the privilege of helping welcome this sweet baby girl into the world. This was the second birth I photographed for my friend Erin and I have to tell you, there's nothing like being there for the birth of a baby! Aside from your own baby of course!Erin tells this story much better than I could in her blog, please check that out! However, let me just say here that I will never forget how I felt when the baby was out and I saw that cord around her nec ......

Ste. Genevieve Photographer | Gender Reveal, Robbins Girl
April 28, 2016 10:59 PM Blog
Ok because I totally suck and was reminded that the baby who's gender we revealed in these photos turns one year old tomorrow... yeah, gotta get my act together. :) So over the next few days we'll be featuring this little girl.So the gender reveal. We decided to go with the age-old (ha) and unfailing balloon reveal. Of course I had to find the biggest box in the history of boxes and thanks to friends, we found one! Balloons inside and painted by the amazing Mary Bet ......
St. Louis Wedding & Engagement Photographer | Betty & Jon
April 19, 2016 09:30 PM Blog
A couple of months ago I had the pleasure of photographing Betty & Jon for their engagement. Their sweet doggie Leonard tagged along and really stole the show, that pup has some great facial expressions for sure! By the way, I love Betty's dress and the colors they chose for the session! I'm seriously all about those blues lately. Here to follow are some of our favorite shots.
St. Louis Wedding Photographer | Derek & Jami: 5-31-2015
February 15, 2016 10:05 PM Blog
Derek and Jami had their ceremony on May 30, 2015 in the beautiful Crystal Garden Banquet & Event Center and even though the rain sequestered us to the indoors for most of the evening, it was still very lovey. In fact, all of the windows in the room we were in let in lots of great light, despite all of the clouds. After family formals and the bridal session, we started on some pictures of just Derek and Jami in the hall when it stopped raining long enough to grab some outsid ......
Bloomsdale Family Photographer | Ryan & Kaitlyn: Pregnancy Reveal
February 10, 2016 08:56 PM Blog
I am so honored to get to have photographed this sweet session for Ryan & Kaitlyn! They were married in November and while I haven't even finished posting the wedding photos yet (heehee), we are going to go ahead! Last Saturday, this beautiful couple came out to our land for a pregnancy reveal session on a day that was just too beautiful to be a typical February day in Missouri! Of course, Paisley, the pup, stole a lot of the show, but we were able to get some couple pictur ......
Festus Wedding Photographer | David & Sarah
February 9, 2016 09:02 PM Blog
Sarah and David tied the knot on May 23, 2015 at a private location and had their reception at TBC Venue in Pevely, MO. Sarah wrote on her information form that she and David met during her first week of college, on an elevator! I think that sounds just like a movie. ;-)As you scroll down and view the photos, you'll notice a large white sheet contraption during the beginning of the ceremony. That was actually an ingenious invention created to ensure that David didn't see ......
Bloomsdale Family Photographer | Kanaan 2015
January 21, 2016 09:51 PM Blog
Now this little guy is just darling! Last fall, his mom brought him out to my place, aka Holifield Hollow, for a photo session in honor of his upcoming 18 month birthday. He didn't want much to do with me, to be honest, but we still managed to sneak in many photos of smiles, in fact, I got more great shots than I thought I did at the time. We had walked up along my road and passed donkeys and a pony and dogs, lots of things for the little guy to look at. He loved to ......
Festus Family Photographer | Ramsey 2015
January 20, 2016 12:26 AM Blog
I am attempting to get back to blogging sessions beginning with the Ramsey family!I have known this gorgeous family for a long time, almost as long as I remember! And it was an honor to get to do some family photos with them just before Christmas. Of course, we had such a strange fall and beginning of winter this season that we had some perfect weather and coloring for a session. I typically don't care much for cedars when it comes to scenery but I love the green with the yello ......
Hillsboro Engagement and Wedding Photographer | Rebekah and Jordan
May 16, 2015 09:47 PM Blog
Seems like an engagement session always makes appearances as my first thing of the photography season! This year that spot was held by Rebekah and Jordan who are tying the knot this June.In February, we headed out on what turned out to be a pretty warm day for winter, to the covered bridge area north of Hillsboro. I love this place. The bridge is great but my favorite part is the field right there in the park area. I admit it, I love a good uncut field! We had a great time and they were just so c ......
Ste. Genevieve Photographer | Deanna
May 15, 2015 09:25 PM Blog
Last year, for my summer modeling session, Deanna was willing to get all vintage-y and hang out in the oppressive heat for a bit, complete with very annoying mosquitoes! Of course, you can't tell that from the photos! She was just so darling, this is one of my favorite themed sessions with some of my favorite shots taken in front of the red building.
St. Louis Photographer | Steve & Gina
May 14, 2015 02:14 PM Blog
Well these two were just so adorable! And a year later, they still have some of my favorite couples shots. Steve and Gina were having a destination wedding last summer but they needed some engagement photos first - that's where I came in. ;-)We went to the spot where he had proposed, making it all the more special for the two of them. In the first shot, she had written on her hand what she'd said when he proposed. We took this shot first in case the marker were to wear off and she didn't tell hi ......
